There are approximately 300,000 homeowner associations in the United States. Collectively, this represents over 40 million households or 53% of the owner occupied households in the America. It also represents millions of volunteers that serve on homeowner association boards and committees. This is important since approximately 70% of all homeowner associations are completely managed by volunteers. HOA-USA was created to help those volunteers navigate the complexities of serving on boards of homeowner associations by providing the tools and resources they need in one convenient place to make their job as a volunteer as easy and stress-free as possible.
Our Mission Statement: Education, Support & Referrals
HOA-USA had its beginnings in 2003 with the launch of a single state website in North Carolina. We began the task immersing ourselves into this industry and two years later launched a second generation of our website. In 2008, we launched three additional state sites in South Carolina, Virginia, and Vermont. In 2010, we launched websites for Florida, Georgia and Texas. In 2011, we launched our nationwide site; www.hoa-usa.com and continue to improve and refine it daily.
Significant resources are required to build a comprehensive directory of all homeowner associations in the nation, as well as research laws and issues that vary widely by state. We are proud of the progress we have made to date and are continually adding robust content to our site to further enhance its value to our members and partners.
